Fidelity Bank is deploying 50 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Oando filling stations to provide ATM services at the filling stations of the petroleum marketing company to make cash easily accessible to customers in the country.
The revolutionary feat is at best “tank and purse” that is fill your car tank and withdraw cash at the bank’s computerized device that provides the customers access to financial transactions in a public space without the need for a human clerk or bank teller.
Filling stations are becoming convenient places for online/offline banking transactions such that some banks now have their physical offices in filling stations.
Fidelity Bank reputed as one of the most transparent financial institutions in Nigeria is leveraging on Oando’s vast outlets in the country.
The initial deployment to be located in Oando filling stations in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin City, Makurdi, Calabar, Akure, Owerri, Aba and Ibadan numbering about 50 is part of the efforts of the bank to bring quality financial solutions closer to its customers.
ATM culture is growing in Nigeria and that has resulted in the growth of banks’ ATMs located in strategic places within the country.
There is also serious attempt by banks to discourage customers from withdrawing their cash over the counter.
