Globacom‘s ED Receives Merit Award

 Adewale Sangowawa, executive director, Human Resources, Globacom Limited, has been described as a worthy Nigerian who shows sustained interest in the development of his environment.

Banwo Smith, president, Government College, Ibadan Old Boys’ Association said this about Sangowawa at the conferment of the GCIOBA Merit Award on Sangowawa recently in Ibadan .

. Smith further described him as one of the central figures of the association whose efforts saw to the successful completion of all the projects embarked upon by the Old Boys’ Association to ensure that the school measured up to the required standards as applicable in other schools in the country.

 “GCIOBA is at the centre of this school’s continued relevance among other schools in the country. It has always been known as one of the best in Ibadan and Nigeria.

“We, as old boys made up our minds that the good name of the school must be kept regardless of the downturn of the economy. We have recorded appreciable success in this resolve because of the support of people like Sangowawa”, he noted.

 In his remarks at the ceremony,. Sangowawa gave kudos to GCIOBA for the honour bestowed on him. He said the award is a great honour that will encourage and propel him to do more for his alma mater.

 While commending the authorities of the school for maintaining its existing facilities, he expressed the belief that GCIOBA would not relent in its efforts at ensuring greater improvement in the school’s academic and physical infrastructure.
