NetApp and DataGroupIT, NetApp’s exclusive distributor in Nigeria hosted over 500 IT executives and decision makers at the 5th annual “NetApp Innovation” Conference.
The event tagged “IT, a whole new ball game,” in the spirit of the upcoming FIFA 2010 world series games in Africa and as a reminder of the new ball game in IT with the entrance of cloud computing model, focused on cloud computing, virtualization and dynamic data centers.
The event was sponsored by IBM, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, CBC, WestconAfrica, Landmark, PD, GlassHouse, Computer Warehouse Group, JKK, Dimension Data and Business Data Protection & Recovery Limited.
Spokespersons from NetApp, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM and others introduced their approach and solutions for cloud computing. The cooperation between NetApp, Cisco and VMware for creating a virtualized dynamic and complete data center with secure multi-tenancy announced recently was introduced for the first time in Nigeria.
