
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed four financial technocrats to join the board of the bank as executive directors.
The new directors and the chief executives will implement strategies already mapped out to reposition the bank.
The new executive directors are Stephen Adaji, executive director, operations and IT, human capital management and corporate support, Joke Giwa, retail, commercial and corporate banking, Nnamdi Christopher Anammah, institutional banking, and Isaac Kamaru Alofoje, risk management, strategy, remedial and control.
The new executive directors, who are tested technocrats, will bring to bear their diverse experiences in banking, management and finance among others, and will provide executive direction to the bank's expansion and industry leadership quest.
Nebolisa Arah, Group Managing Director/CEO, Afribank explained that with the appointment of the new executive directors, the implementation of the broad strategy of Afribank, which focuses on stability, confidence restoration and improved performance, will receive a step up and speedy implementation.
