Buoyed by the strong contributions of its Nigerian and African operations, Ceragon Networks Ltd has reported a 17 per cent increase in revenues for the first quarter of the current financial year and the management is happy about the result.

The announcement is coming on the heels of the bestowment of “Backhaul Provider of the Year” to Ceragon Networks Nigeria for its innovative, flexible and cost-effective wireless backhaul solutions that enable mobile operators and other wired/wireless service providers to deliver superior services to their subscribers.

UK based investors with Chinese roots are about to set their footprints on the Nigerian telecommunications market with a massive inflow of capital and expertise into the troubled Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) segment, Nigeria CommunicationsWeek can now report.

The investors are already in talks with two major CDMA operators and another moribund operator with a huge spectrum lying fallow.
