Winners Emerge in Multi-links Lucky Draw Promo

Another set of 24 winners of laptops emerged in the on-going Multi-links Telkom ‘Recharge and Win Promo’.
The winners emerged from the draws held in Lagos organized to mark the semi final of the promo that   kicked off in October; an initiative meant to reward loyal customers of the company whom Multi-Links Telkom consider as its bedrock.
From the draws, 12 customers each emerged successful from different categories of the winners declared in October and November, 2008. The six different categories are: N10, 000; N5, 000; N2000; N1000; N500; and N200; from where two winners emerged for each of the months. In its rebranding exercise and to satisfy popular demand for the product, Multi- links has introduced N100 recharge card which will also participate in the Recharge and Win promo.
Ian McGregor, director, marketing, commended the loyalty of customers on the leading CDMA network in Nigeria and said the company appreciates their continued patronage in different parts of the country stating that Multi-links Telkom will not renege in its efforts to expand the network to the nooks and crannies of the country.
McGregor stated the company’s resolve to offer top of the range telecom services to its customers notwithstanding their locations in the country. This, he explained, is responsible for massive expansion drives of the network to various parts of the country.
He hinted of the intention of the network to launch new services for the benefit of its subscribers.  He said customers should expect to benefit from Multi-Links new internet service (EVDO) which he disclosed would be launched officially soon in Lagos, Abuja, Warri, Kano and Benin. 
Tayo Ekundayo, Corporate Affairs executive, said that Multi-Links believe strongly in letting what it does speak for it. “We pioneered CDMA network in this country since 1997 with the starting point in Lagos. We have leveraged on that and rolled out in other parts of the country. Most people never thought it was possible to have free calls; but we have been able to do this successfully,” he said. 
The firm, according to him, is the first private telephone operator (PTO) in Nigeria to roll out commercial services. “We broke the record to be the first private telecoms company in this country in 1997. We started with TDMA, and later upgraded to Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA),” he added.
Multi-Links is also the first telecommunications operator in Nigeria to introduce CDMA technology, a digital technology that enables the provision of more efficient and cost-effective wireless solutions. The company concentrated in Lagos until 2005 when it got digital license that empowered it to spread to other parts of the country. The telecom country is now in more than 20 states in Nigeria and has surpassed 2.4million subscriber base.
