In a bid to avoid disruption of services arising from motor- cycle breakdown and other challenges involved in the courier business that can affect customer satisfaction , TransRoyal Courier has added 50 brand new motor-cycles to boost its activities and in readiness for the company’s bank operations.
The aim according to Polly Ofido, executive director of the courier outfit, is to be able to deliver mails within the city the same day and the next day for other mails going to outside locations in Nigeria.
He said that the company delivers service within 24 hours irrespective of the location as long as it is within Nigeria.
With the new set of motor-cycles, he therefore said that the firm tries to avoid service failure because of the sensitive nature of their clients’ documents. He believes the best way to avoid this is the use of sound motor-cycles and well trained staff who understand the important nature of what they are doing.
Ofido hinted that their clientele list is on the increase especially the banks and insurance companies and said there is need to sustain the increase by offering them curtain-edge services and not ta take anything for granted to make sure that they satisfy their clients.
We prefer buying new bykes because of the sensitive nature of these documents. If you are using new bykes, you can always be sure. With new bykes, the issue of break down is avoided at least within the first six months. We only use bykes for six months and give them out to members of staff. Though some of them, we can use for one year depending on the capacity of the engine", Ofido said.
