Aguleri World Forum Empowers its Community with Computer Based Learning Centre
Aguleri World Forum AWF, a network of Aguleri indigenes across the world in collaboration with corporate entities, have commissioned a digital literacy centre aimed at empowering members of the community with adequate digital skills necessary for delivering decent living and respectable future to its people, irrespective of their social status.

The Community through its the illustrious sons and daughters donated the project to ensure the development of her youth to become digitally enabled, while MOrek STEM Network will operate the center for capacity and quality assurance.
The project facilitated by the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Information Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Michael Orekyeh, borrows a leaf from the National Information Technology (NIT) Policy seeks to make the community dwellers, especially the youths, become IT complaint and ‘netizens’ in the information society by using IT as the engine for sustainable development and global competitiveness.
The 20-seat Computer Based Learning (CBL) center has been equipped with software and content to enhance the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning abilities for students from Primary 3 upward through JS1-SS3 (Secondary).
Orekyeh, while speaking about the project, said that the project commissioned on Monday 5th April, 2021 involved multiple donations and “it is a landmark in Aguleri”.
“It was made possible by donations from members of Aguleri World Forum (AWF) and corporate donors like GVE Projects, CGC Nigeria, IHS Towers and Biosec Solutions.
“It is a 20 seat Computer Based Learning (CBL) center with software and content to enhance the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning abilities for students from Primary 3 upward through JS1-SS3 (Secondary) for students in the Aguleri and nearby towns in partnership with the School System in Anambra State.
It can serve youths in Aguleri and neighbouring towns and like Nsuge, Igbariam, Umueri, Nando, Nteje, Nkwele-Ezunaka , Omor, Anaku etc.
“It is a model and platform for running CBL is a semi-urban or rural Community for the neighbouring communities with Aguleri as the epicenter.
“It is exposing them to the Digital Economy and with the support of Anambra State Information and Communications Technology Agency (ANSICTA) it will help Government bring Digital Literacy to those communities.
“It runs the award winning Kolibri Suite of channels which help students across the world learn better and at their pace.
“We will in due course run programs to bring IT operation Coding skills to our youths ,graduates and adults to properly equip them for the emerging Digital Economy and technologies.
“It is our way of giving back to the community and ensuring our youth and students have a platform to properly equip them for STEM learning and the Digital Economy, which is made more evident since the Covid-19 pandemic.
He thanked Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the Governor of Anambra for the opportunity to serve as a Special Assistant on ICT.
“I thank a great friend Folorunso Aliu FLS, for the idea and concept and Arc Eugene Agbeyegbe (for the concept drawings of the center) to put this Center together. With software and content such as the Kolibri suite from USA.
“It has been a great day of giving back to the community with help from so many Donors”.

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has suspended the @Twitter account, replacing its profile with a standard notice citing violation of platform rules.

The action, which occurred on Sunday, January 11, left users encountering the handle greeted by a bold “Account Suspended” message on a black screen, with no details provided on the specific rules broken or the duration of the suspension.
The development has sparked widespread confusion and nostalgia among users, given that Elon Musk rebranded Twitter to X in July 2023, approximately six months after acquiring the platform for $44 billion in late 2022.
The @Twitter handle had remained dormant since before Musk’s takeover, serving as a legacy remnant of the platform’s original branding, and its suspension appears to mark the final erasure of the Twitter name amid X’s ongoing efforts to combat spam, impersonation, and rule violations.
X’s official statement on the suspended page simply reads: “X suspends accounts that violate our rules,” without offering an appeal process or further explanation, unlike standard user suspensions.
Public reactions on social media ranged from humorous laments of “RIP Twitter” to speculation that the move resulted from automated moderation or a deliberate cleanup of legacy trademarks.
xAI’s Grok AI described it as a purposeful retirement of outdated elements rather than a genuine infraction, while neither Elon Musk nor X spokespeople issued any comment as of Monday morning.
This incident underscores the evolving identity of the platform under Musk’s ownership, which also saw a domain shift to x.com in 2024, further distancing it from its Twitter roots.
Industry observers note that while the suspension aligns with X’s stricter enforcement policies, the lack of transparency has fueled debates on consistency in applying rules to high-profile legacy accounts.
