Airtel, Nigeria’s leading telcom company, has launched another flagship product tagged ‘Smart Connect’. This product which launched by the Smartphone Network comes with fantastic benefits for its users.
Nigeria CommunicationsWeek recalled that statistics from Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), the market regulator, in April 2014, showed that Airtel rose to become Nigeria’s second largest telecom company, with total customer number of 26,194,336.
But it succumbed to third position later in September following stiff market competition.
However Airtel’s continued growth trajectory has never been in doubt following the network’s mouth watering and legacy products and services it has launched in the market overtime.
Even, Airtel Smart Connect gives a 200% bonus on every recharge over N200.00, data bonus, bonus on recharge for family and friends, four Sim cards for the price of one and an 11 Kobo per second charge for early night calls across all networks for seven days.
The unique thing about Airtel Smart Connect is that there is no limitation on how bonuses are used as it can be used for calls, SMS and data across networks.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos, Mr. Maurice Newa, chief commercial officer, Airtel Nigeria, said the four-in-one product will bring more people into the Airtel network.
He said, “This superior product which helps people stay connected in a smart way gives special focus to family and friends and is another avenue for Airtel to provide its customers with the utmost best.
“The beauty of the product is that the benefits spread across the four Sim cards; Airtel is generous and has always thought about giving the best products and services to the numerous customers”.
On the fears that increase in customer base might impact the network negatively, Newa, said that they have considered that before the product launch, promising that Airtel’s network remains one of the most consistent, customer friendly and easy to connect by users.
“Our network is superb. We do not entertain fears on what the increase in customer base will cause to the the network, because Airtel has actually invested on the network. What we are focused on at the moment is rolling out products and services that bring about number of connected people in Nigeria to a more appreciable level,” he said.
Also at the event, Nigeria’s ace comedian Akpororo who also doubles as the products ambassador said this product is a smart way to keep family and friends together.
The launch of Airtel Smart Connect is another avenue by this telco giant to bring in new users to its network.
