Charbel Bou-Eid, managing director, CIS Nigeria, said that the event was organized to showcase some Oracle innovative products which are designed to enhance business performance.
Some of the products showcased at the event include Oracle Exadata, Exalogic, SPARC server, among others.
He said Oracle Database appliances are scalable, comes with improved performance and are faster in deployment.
Alexander Jenewein, regional sales director, West & Central Africa, Oracle, who spoke on ‘Navigating Complexity by Simplifying IT’, said that Oracle has come to Nigeria to simplify information technology which is a tool to drive business, through its innovative technology products such as Oracle Engineered system that brings software and Hardware together for a transformative technology.
Neville Deboo, senior sales-development manager, Middle East and Africa, Oracle, identified key elements of an optimized Data Centre as simplicity, reduced risk and increased service level agreement.
He noted that Oracle SPARC hardware is engineered at every layer. SPARC, according to him offers in-built security saving organizations 14% of their budget to security.
