The Nigerian presidential election campaign has been swamped with various species of image damaging propaganda, from caricature and monstrous depictions on the web and newspapers, to slander and sinister attacks on personal character at campaign rallies.
The incumbent, its strongest opposition and both their supporters are not playing fair nor holding any tricks back.
One wants stay on by all means, his supporters and advisers have no desire to conceal this and the fact that forward movement is the way.
The other wants to bring change, a total reset and sweeping out of all the dirt that has been.
But while they continue to lunge at each others yonder, and their party slogans peddled for whoever cares to listen, many concerned professionals and experts are of the opinion that the agendas of both candidates hold no water and that both have super-failed to properly communicate their intentions and future plans for and to the people
One of those experts is Professor Chukwuma Soludo, former governor of Central Bank.
He has refused to shake his ominous feelings and in a mind blowing fact-filled 6,000 words article on the vanguard, he laid bare his thoughts on what’s important for the next government, the challenges and solutions beyond the election.
Several pointers from that article has been extracted and converted into infographics by a visual listen platform for the elections to allow for easy perusal and understanding so as to enable swift and better informed decisions to whoever it may concern.
The platform is of the opinion that not everyone would be patient enough to read Soludo’s article and debate and thus will crunch and visualize more facts and numbers to be made available for public consumption since a well informed electorate is a per-requisite for democracy.
