Interweb Bags ‘Best ISP of Year’ Award

Internet Service Provider, Interweb has been conferred with the ‘Best Internet Service Provider of the year 2009’ by Global Link Communication Association, Abuja.
Presenting the award on behalf of the association, Williams Ayooso, publisher of Global Times magazin, described Monday Okpebholo, president and chief executive officer of Interweb as a hard working man whose spirited effort ensures that Internet penetration is available and cheap to the underserved communities in the country.
He explained that Interweb was selected for the award due to the company’s contributions to the growth of ICT in Nigerian. According to him, the development of ICT has helped to support private business and governmental operations for productivity.
He said Interweb is leveraging on their most effective and reliable technology platform to offer ICT services as well as support Internet communications, e-commerce and e-business.
He noted that despite the emergence of Glo 1 submarine cables, Interweb services will still be relevant; Vsat will always be used to provide broadband for Internet Users.
Ayooso said the association gathered that Interweb has over the years donated various sets of computers to individuals, organizations and corporate bodies across the country, as well as instaledl Internet connectivity to such organizations for their businesses, thereby making the world a global home.
Receiving the  award, Okpebholo said the company has more than 5,000 subscribers  with turn key project that provide broadband internet to private network in their homes.
He further said that the company is committed to addressing issues of technology in every area of interest as it affects the common man, and that Interweb would continue to explore every necessary partnership that would boost trade and create employment opportunities in Nigeria.
He said the company will in the next few days launch its Africa to Africa connectivity across the African continent and that the project will accelerate investment flow into the ICT sector as well roll out multifarious services in the continent.
