ITU Telecom World 2014 Holds in Doha in December

ITU Telecom World 2014 which holds in Doha, Qatar, from December 7-10 will begin with an exclusive one-day Leadership Summit on the Future for leaders from governments, regulatory bodies and across the ICT industry, according to the organisers.

Led by renowned futurists, the Summit will feature a highly interactive programme with powerful keynotes and product demos, highlighting future technologies including advanced robotics. The Summit will equip decision-makers with a clear understanding of ICT sector developments to guide future policies and strategies.

Taking a variety of formats from panel sessions, keynotes and high-level debates to global media-moderated Big Conversations, main Forum discussions will then explore in detail the three major scenarios of disruption, cross-sector partnerships and the intelligent future, examining the key trends and developments in technology, regulatory and policy issues, business models, services and applications for each scenario.

Running in parallel to the debate, the show floor experience highlights technologies and investment opportunities through the presence of National and Thematic Pavilions, Industry Showcases, the OpenSpace central lounge area, and dedicated media and leaders lounges.

Top global players present include Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, Huawei, Intel, LS telcom, Nokia, Ooredoo and ZTE, with countries represented from across the globe, including Argentina, Azerbaijan, China, Nigeria and Rwanda.

Innovation will be a core component of the event, evidenced through The InnovationSpace which will host the Young Innovators Competition finalists, plus the Lab with state-of-the-art demos and technological, social or design innovations.
