Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has applauded Airtel for its adopt-a-school initiative.

However, in efforts to further deepen relationship with the Board and also assess the impact of its Adopt-a-School programme in the state, leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, recently paid a courtesy visit to the state education board.

SUBEB used the occasion to commend Airtel Nigeria for assisting Lagos State government in improving the quality of education in the state.

In 2011, Airtel Nigeria adopted Oremeji Primary School II, Ajegunle, Lagos, under its Adopt-a-School CSR initiative as part of efforts to provide access to quality education for Nigerian children, particularly the underprivileged.

Airtel renovated the primary school and has since been providing educational materials for the pupils.
