Multi-Links Telkom has rolled out its services in the ancient town of Ondo. The growing tribe of telecommunications consumers surged in the town as commercial operations of the company kicked off with the sale of lines.
The launch of commercial services in Ondo marked the third town in Ondo State where Multi-Links Telkom rolled out in the state after the initial launches in Akure and Owo.
The sales outlet in the town witnessed an unprecedented crowd of both the young and the old jostling for space on the sales queue.
According to Tayo Ekundayo, general manager, corporate affairs, Multi-links Telkom, some of the subscribers who witnessed the commercial launch praised Multi-Links Telkom management for introducing the most affordable mobile telephone service in the town. They expressed delight in the consumer friendly acquisition cost of the mobile line and the modest tariff.
Apart from commending Multi-Links Telkom for being considerate in setting the entry price and airtime tariff of its mobile telephone service, they noted that the voice clarity of Multi-Links Telkom service is unparallel. Claiming that, they had waited so long for the service to come, and assured that the people of the town would continue to partner with the management of Multi-Links Telkom for a more robust relationship in the years ahead.
The residents of Ondo town urged the management of Multi-Links Telkom to deploy additional mobile lines to Ondo in order to meet the yawning gap created by the many years of neglect by the industry operators.
Multi-Links Telkom since the acquisition and take- over of its operations and management by the Telkom South Africa has increased its subscriber base from just 200, 000 lines to over 1 million subscriptions in less than one year.
The company has embarked on a massive roll-out project that will see many cities, towns, villages and communities connected soon. The national roll-out project is targeted at simultaneous roll-out in the six geo-political zones of the country. Services were recently deployed in Abaji, Akure, Akwanga, Bauchi, Benin, Jere, and Jos. Other areas are Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Lokoja, Owo, Warri and Zaria.
Locations which earlier had services were Abeokuta, Abuja, Ejigbo, Gbongan, Ibadan, Ijebu-Ode, Ikire, Ile-Ife, Ilesha and Ilorin. In this category are also Lagos, Ogbomosho, Okene, Osogbo and Sagamu.
Apart from the faster rollout of services in many locations across the country, the new management has also brought stronger brand flavour to Multi-Links Telkom with the infusion of the expertise and quality of service with Telkom SA.
Multi-Links Telkom is famous for its Voice, Internet and Data services. Only recently, it was rewarded for its commitment to excellent service with the award of "Best Nigerian Fixed Telecom Operator."
