Kenneth Miebaka Adoki, managing director of Nairanet, has said that his company has the right mix of technology to address criminal activities in the country.
Adoki said that this can be achieved using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to locate and dictates all areas of criminality ranging from oil bunkering, fertilizer diversion, smuggling arm into the country and fuel distribution.
According to him, Radio Frequency Identification is a new concept that is currently used in many part of the world to minimize crime even cyber crime and kidnapping.
The technology is used to identify and track down the perpetrators through the use of radio waves.
The Radio Frequency Identification reader will now show it critical areas by reading the information on the chip within a specific range and it will be commonly used for vehicles as well as goods tracking document such like passport retail outlet to cub theft of items.
Adoki said Radio Frequency Identification will also be used to track and monitor all sorts of negative activities going on in the country with coastlines including crude oil divert, container coming into the country, contraband goods brought into the country.
He added Nairanet is also targeting schools to issue tag identity and as soon as the pupil enters the shool Radio Frequency Identification reader will pick his position and send text message to his parent phone and that Nairanet will also provide anti-money laundering solutions to banks to track down movement of money and alert financial intelligence unit of any suspicious activities.
