NIPOST to Strike Out Names of Unverified Pensioners from Roll

The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) pension board of trustees has concluded arrangements to conduct an internal verification exercise of all the service’s pensioners to obtain accurate data needed to produce correct nominal roll for pensioners’ payment in 2014.

According to a press statement signed by Tanko Habila, secretary, NIPOST pension board of trustees, any pensioner who fails to appear for the exercise will have his or her name removed from the existing nominal roll.

“Sick and incapacitated pensioners will be verified in their respective homes,” the Habila said.

Meanwhile, the exercise holds from November 18th to 23rd, 2013 in all NIPOST territorial except Lagos, while that of Lagos holds at NIPOST headquarters, Lafiaji from November 26th to December 1st, 2013.

Habila added that eligible persons are expected to report to the offices with their data capture slip from the accountant-general’s office; appointment letter; last pay slip on retirement and one passport photograph.
