Paga, Flutterwave Partners on payment Option for Merchants

Paga, a mobile payments company, yesterday announced a partnership with Flutterwave to support secure one-click payments for Paga wallet users at any merchant where the Flutterwave gateway is enabled.

Through this partnership, Paga would now feature as a payment option for merchants that integrate the Flutterwave payment gateway, thus allowing its customers to pay merchants from their Paga wallet.

The collaboration immediately opens up Flutterwave’s merchant base of airlines, media outfits, hotels, ticketing companies, fashion retailers, among others to Paga’s over 14 million customers.

Jay Alabraba, co-founder and director of business development, said that, “At Paga, we build solutions to make it simple for consumers and businesses to access and use money. By partnering with Flutterwave on their gateway, we give our customers access to quickly make payments to an even larger pool of merchants.”

Alabraba, noted that “It is a win-win situation. Customer has a faster payment option and merchant gets their money seamlessly. Also, importantly, the service is end-to-end secure.”

Paga continues to strengthen its presence in Nigeria while scaling to other emerging markets across the world. It recently launched its mobile app on android and iOS stores to further simplify payments for Nigerians. Some of the services available on the app include Request and Send Money and Bill payments amongst others.
