Rack Centre Bags ICT Infrastructure, Data Centre Provider Awards

Rack Centre, Africa’s premium data centre provider has won two awards at the 2018 Beacon of ICT Awards.  It won the “ICT Infrastructure Provider of the Year” and ICT Infrastructure Provider of the Year (Data Centre)”.

The Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards is an annual event that recognises organisations and individual’s contribution to ICT development in Nigeria and it is considered by analysts as the most prestigious ICT award in Nigeria.

The BoICT awards rewards companies that have made positive impact in ICT in Nigeria. Rack Centre has won the ICT Infrastructure Provider of the Year in the data category for four years in a row and also won the ICT Infrastructure Provider of the Year in tandem in three years in a row.

In 2016, Mr Ayotunde Coker was voted the ICT personality of the Year and delivered that year’s Distinguished Lecture –Data Centre as kiln of Industrialisation & Transformation.

Commenting on the award, Mr Ken Nwogbo, Managing Director and Editor in Chief of Communication’s Weekly, Nigeria’s foremost ICT Publication in Nigeria and organiser of the event in announcing the 2018 award attributed Rack Centre’s win to its talents, contributions, commitment, sincerity and dedication to the growth and development of the ICT, Data Centre and data interconnect and Internet industry in Nigeria.

Mr Ayotunde Coker, Managing Director of Rack Centre in accepting the award said “it was a great honour to be recognised with such awards four years in a row.
