Starcomms Plc, introduced iZAP Express Card, a mobile data card that enhances the speed of internet access. It is hitting the market at very pocket-friendly rates.
The product is being launched in fulfillment of a promise by the company to compliment the speed of the 3G EVDO Mobile Broadband internet service it had since introduced into the Nigerian market.
The card, specifically designed for Starcomms by EpiValley, a South Korean company leading in digital convergence, is Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) standard and currently available only in a few countries in South America and Asia and is making its debut in Nigeria.
According to Mr. Maher Qubain, the company’s chief executive officer, the Starcomms iZAP Express Card, is targeted at individuals and busy executives, corporates, Small and Medium Enterprises, associations and trade unions, and comes in five packages with varying access and validity periods. The activation packs come with a 100 hours subscription packages valid for one month.
Qubain who had earlier promised to come up with several stylish internet access devices stated that the Express Card, branded as izap@Sleek is a stylish, small, faster internet device that delivers high performance of internet access to users on the move. The new izap@sleek is ideal for those who carry their latest trendy Laptops and Notebook with express card slots, and who require data transmission at high speeds on the move. "This MDC is so compact that even when not in use, it can be stored inside the laptop and does not require to be taken out of the laptop or notebook.

Starcomms iZAP Express cards can be used along with various customized renewal packages – izap Purple Always (Activation Pack) for 24 hours connectivity, izap Purple Business (Activation Pack) for 9am to 9pm connectivity, meeting the needs of customers who are into business, izap Purple Night (Activation Pack) for 9pm to 9am connectivity aimed at night surfers and working executives who wish to browse after office hours. Also available are the new hourly packages of 100 and 250 hours with 30 days and 90 days validity respectively, aimed at customers who wish to be in control of their browsing hours and spend.
Qubain said introduction of the new product is part of the network’s expansion and consistent marketing drive designed to ensure that its products and services come within reach of every potential or existing subscriber.
