Technology Distributions Bags Best HP IPG Distributor Award

Technology Distributions Limited has won the HP 2011 Best IPG Distributor in West Africa. The prestigious award, the highest in the printers and supplies category was announced recently at the IPG Africa, Technology Tours, Mauritius 2012.
Addressing a resellers training session at Kez Auditorium, Lagos, Chioma Ekeh, TD’s MD/CEO, dedicated the Award to all TD’s resellers for their hard work and strict adherence to channel sales. She said that the award would not have been possible without the support of the resellers who serve as foot soldiers living the values of TD while pushing quality ICT products to satisfied end users.
Ekeh said that the award in the IPG category was another proof of the total nature of TD marketing – Number 1 performer in laptops/desktops, servers, UPS, networking materials and printers/supplies.
The TD boss also said that this award, more than any other, poses a bigger challenge for the resellers and staff of TD because of higher expectations from the markets. “We must build on our successes and put in place a set of strategies that would enable us to fully realize the vision of the founding fathers to catalyze the ICT revolution in Africa with high quality products and services that are affordable and accessible”. The lofty dreams of the founding fathers are daunting but realizable because of the resources and processes that TD has put in place over the years.
During the training session cheques were presented to PAS partners for online businesses of the past month. Partners, who traded online at the time of a business, get the margin from end user prices.
Modupe Adesiyun spoke to resellers on HP-IPG hardware and how to optimize productivity. Kelechi Nwamara talked on HP Supplies – Why HP Supplies? She also highlighted the differences between genuine and fake supplies. She urged resellers never to yield to the temptation to make short term gains at the expense of the channel and long term corporate objectives.
Charles Adigwe, TD’s head of Finance, also gave a talk on doing business in a cashless society. He enumerated the benefits of a cashless society and explained the Central Bank‘s guidelines on cashless transactions. Adigwe informed the resellers that dedicated machines with internet facilities have been installed in all TD offices to help resellers to use the internet to pay for purchases from TD.
Moving the vote of thanks on behalf of the resellers, Agatha Ukoha, managing director, Arewa Systems thanked TD for the training session, describing the day’s experience as rewarding. She assured the management of TD that the resellers would use the knowledge acquired to achieve leadership in the market.
