
Junisat Wireless, an Internet Service Provider in the VSAT category is set to provide its customers with wireless internet service that will do away with the complexities of having to mount the dish and its accessories. With the wireless internet, people that want to buy the service will only have to pay for wireless router and they are connected, Jumoke Olabanji, personal assistant to the managing director disclosed this to Nigeria Communications Week. The wireless service will allow for the download of large files, data, voice and good picture quality just as in the VSAT internet connection.
The wireless internet service according to Olabanji will be available to customers within the Yaba, Bariga, Maryland axis for now and will avail users the opportunity to move around with their laptops and still have service especially within the service areas. The company under the parent body Juniper Solutions Limited services corporate organizations, schools and individuals and has two other subsidiaries, Junisat which handles the VSAT aspect while PC+ handles the computer, solar lamp and other accessories. The solar lamp called d.light is all purpose lantern that can be charged by electricity and solar energy and comes with one year warranty.
The company is also noted for its premium product called Thin Clients which provides a safe , virus free , multifunction high security and easy to configure maintenance environment. This reduces the much organizations spend to ensure that their computer systems are secure, reliable and easy to go. The Thin Clients is said to have the capability to replace PCs in fixed and mobile applications – from the corporate desktop, retail shops, kiosks, cafes and call centre environments, healthcare, financial institutions, insurance companies, small businesses, government offices and factory floors. The Thin Clients based on the VIA chipset also offers the broadest choice of models and operating systems including Linux, Windows CE and Windows XPe. It can also give excellent performance no matter how remote workers are connected and will enable software upgrade for all clients. In addition, Thin Clients will allow for efficient troubleshooting to minimize downtime and reduce the total cost of ownership with consolidated management.
