CBN Reviews Cashless Policy

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reviewed its cashless policy aimed at reducing the amount of cash in circulation. The apex bank said in a statement that the review of the policy was needed to allow for smooth transition and adoption in Lagos State in the first instance, and the entire country at a later date, having monitored the partial implementation of the policy in Lagos State and following discussions with various stakeholders on the effective implementation of the project.
