Three students of New Horizons were successful in the on-line examination of SAP one of the world’s biggest ERP applications.
According to one of the students Mr. Ben Osasona their success at one sitting is very exciting and remarkable based on the kind of support facility, ambient environment and warm reception of the officers at New Horizons.
“I had always wanted to be a SAP consultant for as long as I can remember, and New Horizons availed me that opportunity through the e-acadamy program. I can study any time I want depending on my schedule, and New Horizons provided a quiet and comfortable environment for this. The staffs are very friendly and family-like, and New Horizons’ dedication to get me a job placement after the program is quite commendable,” he said.
Another student who was successful at the examination Mr. Kelechi Ehiogu recounts his wonderful experience as this “I did SAP Financials with New Horizons Ikeja and passed very well. The course content was voluminous and demanding but New Horizons provided the right atmosphere and motivation that stirred me to success.
The main challenge of SAP e-Academy is the fact that you have to do it yourself. No physical teacher to ask questions and to direct one. However, I was able to conquer this through determination and hard work. The examination is based on technical and application knowledge of the SAP ERP central component. It is very detailed and lasts for three hours, but if you are thorough with the syllabus and have the determination to succeed, you can always pass.  At New Horizons everything you need to start a career in SAP is available”.
Mr. Ehiogu was full of praises for the style of management and administration demonstrated by the company and offered to be an ambassador of the company by ensuring that more ambitious SAP applicants get the best services through New Horizons.
In his own remark Dr. Tunde Afolabi asserted that “the training was a good experience” he was quick to add that it equally demanded time and devotion, especially considering the fact that he had to study either late into the night after work or in the wee hours of the morning before going to work. He continues” this also necessitated my buying a broadband internet modem for personal study at home. All in all, I was able to complete the online study presentation videos on time”.
Dr. Afolabi attested to the fact that the support from SAP e-academy and the mentoring was satisfactory. He said “I got answers to all queries for further explanation of the course material within 24 to 48 hours. The examination was objective/multiple choice and based entirely on the printed course material and lasted 3 hours. A thorough study and understanding of this printed material is the singular most important preparation towards the exam. There were no questions on SAP navigation. The minimum passing score was 51%. One is required to choose all correct options of a multiple answer question in order to get any credit for such questions”.
Other candidates from companies that partnered SAP in Nigeria and sat for the examination were unsuccessful in the on-line examination. He concluded that his testimony of the SAP e-academy in New Horizons can be summarized thus “the convenience and flexibility of self-paced study plus the online mentorship are but a few of the features that made my SAP e-academy experience provided by New Horizons Nigeria a good one. It culminated in that ecstatic moment when I realized I had become ‘SAP certified’ at the end of the online computer based certification exam. The feeling was worth the investment, but not only that, I know the future holds volumes of testimony to the worth of my SAP e-academy training and certification. I’m certainly looking forward to a brand new horizon."
Mr. Tim Akano, managing director, New Horizons, while congratulating one of the SAP certified professional challenged him and his colleagues not to rest on their oars as there lies ahead of them many more conquests. He reiterated his organization’s dedication and commitment to exceptional service delivery and enjoined aspiring Nigerians to patronize only the best training institution where they can be guaranteed value for their money.
According to the former Region Manager of SAP, Mr. Jaco Van Zyl “there is a global need for over 30,000  SAP consultant worldwide, the number presently is not up to 20% of the requirement.
New Horizons Nigeria is one of SAP partners in Nigeria and is proud to announce that three of its students were successful in the on-line examination where other students from South Africa and other SAP partners failed.

Legit.ng recently joined forces with the Shade of Life Foundation to become a voice of autism, and drive advocacy for improved media support during Autism Awareness Month.

Legit.ng, Shade of Life Foundation Partner to Advance Autism Awareness in Nigeria

Participants at the event

Conversations around media support exploration was led by Joseph Omotayo, head of Department for Human Interest Stories at Legit.ng, and Dr. Eziafakaku Nwokolo, founder and CEO of the Shade of Life Foundation,

This partnership is a response to the concerns raised by organizations like the Shade of Life Foundation about the level of support received from the media in discussing autism as a disability.

While other disabilities may receive attention, autism, with its critical developmental implications often lacks adequate representation in mainstream media.

Recognizing the importance of addressing these concerns, Legit.ng took proactive steps by integrating itself into the essence of autism awareness.

It facilitated a one-hour workshop with Dr. Nwokolo, the founder of the foundation, to deepen our understanding of autism, its various spectrums, and the language boundaries associated with it.

Other steps we took in advocating autism awareness in the media, can be seen in our attached press release.

Legit.ng believes that by amplifying the voices of autism and advocating for better media representation, we can contribute to creating a more inclusive and accepting society for all.
