IIM, PECB Ink Agreement to Offer Certification Programme in Nigeria

Institute of Information Management (IIM) Africa said on Wednesday that it has entered into partnership agreement with Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB), a Canadian-based organization, to administer Information Security Management System (ISMS) certifications in Nigeria.

According to Dr. Oyedokun Ayodeji Oyewole, chairman, Board of Directors at Institute of Information Management (IIM) – Africa, said, “IIM-Africa is proud to announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with Canadian-based PECB to administer Information Security Management System (ISMS): ISO 27001 and Information Security Certifications, ISO 27005 and Risk Management Certifications, and ISO 9001 and Quality professional certification.

This partnership will increase IIM-Africa’s range of certification and at the same time allow PECB to offer its certification through an internationally recognized certification body and through our globally dispersed network.

Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB) is a personnel certification body for various international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, ISO 26000 and ISO 28000.

PECB has earned a reputation for integrity, value and best practice by providing this assurance through the evaluation and certification of professionals against rigorous, internationally recognized competence requirements.
