KongaNow: Guaranteed same day Delivery for Launch

Konga, Nigeria’s leading composite e-commerce group, after two years of extensive research and test-running, is set to further raise the bar of service delivery in the industry with the launch of KongaNow, guaranteed same day delivery of verified products, for which Konga will take complete responsibility.

All you need to do is go to www.Konga.com/konga/now and any product tagged KongaNow must be delivered to the shopper between one to six hours same day, irrespective of the shopper’s location.
This offer goes live in Lagos and Abuja from 1am on May 30th, 2023, with shoppers set to enjoy a special one-day sale offering unbeatable prices on selected high and middle-end products direct from manufacturers to launch the initiative.
Konga is partnering with a lot of global manufacturers in the Electronics, Computing and Accessories, Home and Kitchen, Power, FMCG, Lifestyle products, Cosmetics and Health space among others, on this initiative.
Every product on KongaNow is available for immediate delivery, with the e-commerce giant also planning to roll out in other states in Nigeria before the end of September this year.
Most importantly, KongaNow will expectedly add impetus to the 2023 edition of the annual Mid-Year Shopping Festival that starts on the 1st of June through to 30th of June.
Through KongaNow, shoppers can enjoy unprecedented speed in the delivery of their high and medium value items Monday to Saturday, no matter how expensive the products. In addition, Konga takes responsibility for the quality of products delivered.
‘’This is why we have been investing billions in logistics assets and technologies in the last few months to take e-commerce to the next level,’’ disclosed KongaNow Project Head, Ms. Yvonne Enwerem.
‘‘I have absolutely no doubt that the Konga Group with her multiple verticals and experienced human capital can and will deliver on this project in Nigeria and beyond.
“We have the express mandate of the Board and support of critical manufacturers to raise the bar of e-commerce within the next one year.’’
She concluded by advising few media representatives who could not reconcile how this could be executed to try it out on Monday, the 30th of May, 2023 with a special one-day discount
The latest initiative is bound to further raise the bar of service delivery in the industry, with the management of Konga confident that this will go a long way in improving standards and boosting customer satisfaction among its teeming shoppers and other critical audiences such as bulk buyers, schools and educational institutions, corporate establishments and government parastatals, among others.
“We are confident that through KongaNow, we will be filling a huge, identified gap in the e-commerce space: swift delivery. From feedback and research at our disposal, this is one of the biggest challenges faced by shoppers.
“A lot of Nigerians are last-minute shoppers and most shoppers want to be able to take delivery of their items at short notice.
“Of course, the inability to resolve this is tied to the thorny issue of logistics and infrastructural deficiencies, both of which have remained twin obstacles to e-commerce in Nigeria,’’ disclosed Group Head, Marketing, Gideon Ayogu.
He added: “But at Konga, we have built a reputation as solution providers. So, we have taken on this challenge by offering our customers and other Nigerians a chance to enjoy lightning-fast, same day delivery of their items within one to six hours through KongaNow.
“We are starting off with Lagos and Abuja but we will be extending this offer to other cities in no time. There are no added charges but all items must be prepaid, preferably via KongaPay, our CBN-licensed mobile money wallet or through other means such as debit card, bank transfer or voucher to be eligible for same day delivery,’’ he concluded.
Meanwhile, feelers from within Konga indicate that the company has put in place efficient operational measures to ensure that all KongaNow orders receive priority attention for swift fulfilment.
In addition, orders must be placed and the check-out process completed latest by 2pm to enjoy same day delivery. Consequently, orders received after 2pm will be delivered on the next working day.
Prospective customers must also be physically available at their chosen location to receive the orders. Otherwise, they also have the opportunity of assigning someone else to receive the order, on the condition that they must notify the delivery associate or Konga Customer Care team accordingly.
KongaNow is open to all classes of shoppers, including regular shoppers, bulk buyers, corporates and other establishments.

He frequently collaborates with universities, government ministries, tech hubs, and global partners, championing a model where research is not locked up in theory but translated into deployable systems, smart policies, and scalable ventures.
Ani has demonstrated a unique ability to turn complex code into commercial and social value. His work has focused on:
- Infrastructure for Good: Developing platforms that bridge the divide between urban tech hubs and rural communities.
- Sovereign Technology: Championing the idea that African data should be managed by African-built systems.
The Public Servant: Digitizing Enugu State
Ani’s influence extends into the corridors of power. Serving as the Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor on ICT, he has been instrumental in transforming the state into a burgeoning digital ecosystem.
His work in Enugu serves as a blueprint for “Governance-Tech Synergy,” proving that when political will meets technical expertise, public service delivery can be revolutionized.

Google Finally Allows Users to Change Gmail Address, Keeps Data and Services Intact

Google has unveiled a new feature that allows Gmail users to change their existing email addresses without losing data or access to services, marking a major shift in the company’s long-standing policy.

Gmail
According to an update on Google’s account help page, the new option enables account holders to replace their current @gmail.com address with a new one while retaining all associated data, including emails, photos, and integrations with services such as Google Drive, Maps, and YouTube.
The guidance, however, was first spotted on the Hindi version of Google’s support page, suggesting that the rollout may begin in India or Hindi-speaking markets before expanding globally.
The English-language support page still carries the older advisory that Gmail addresses “usually cannot be changed.”
Google explained that under the new policy, users who update their Gmail address will automatically keep their original address as an alias.
This means emails sent to the old address will continue to arrive in the inbox, and the original address will remain valid for signing in to Google services.
Previously, users seeking a new Gmail address had to create an entirely new account and manually transfer their data, a process that often disrupted third-party app integrations. The new feature eliminates that inconvenience, ensuring continuity for users.
The company further clarified that while users can reuse their old Gmail address at any time, accounts that change their address will face certain restrictions.
These include a 12-month waiting period before another new Gmail address can be created, and the inability to delete the newly chosen address once it has been set.
Google assured users that all existing data would remain intact after an address update, including stored photos, messages, and emails.
The gradual rollout of the feature indicates that full global adoption is expected in the coming months, a move likely to be welcomed by millions of users who have long requested the ability to update their Gmail identities without starting afresh.
