Red Star Express, the foremost courier and logistics services solution provider in Nigeria, recently held its 2013 Customers Forum in Lagos.

The event, which is organised annually and used as a means of connecting with and expressing appreciation to the customers of the organisation, was attended by customers from all over Nigeria. The theme for this year’s event was “Managing Your Estate”.

At the event, Mr. Sule Bichi, managing director, Red Star Express Plc, said, “we have strategically chosen the theme for this year’s customers forum to be “Managing your Estate”, with the hope and intention to avail everyone of you, our esteemed customers, an opportunity to learn, share and empower you adequately while adding value to our respective communities and businesses after this gathering”.

The lecture which was delivered by Mrs Binta Max-Gbinije, who represented Mrs Sola David-Borha, the CEO of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, was an interactive session that not only shed light on some commonly misused and misunderstood terms, important concepts in management of one’s Estate and the legal implications of related terms and actions, but also provided indepth insight on wealth creation and investment management for a better future.

Bichi further revealed that “What we are doing today is to re-assure you of our promise of continual service improvement and development of mutually beneficial relationship among all Red Star Express stakeholders. Our goal is to absolutely and positively make every experience with us outstanding by doing whatever it takes to satisfy our customers.”

It was further revealed that based on the growing needs of today’s business, Red Star Express has made major advances in their operations to enhance the ease of doing business. “In recognition of the ever changing needs of our customers, coupled with the wind of E-commerce that is fast blowing across the world and the recent landmark events in the power sector, we are making huge investments in the areas of technology, manpower, vehicle fleet and equipment”, Mr Bichi added.

The Forum was attended by over 200 customers from various business sectors.

The participants had an interactive lecture, networking opportunities and lots of entertainment. The highlight of the event was the raffle draw where fifteen customers emerged winners with various prizes, ranging from a return air ticket to Europe, smart phones, plasma TVs and other numerous prizes from event partners Eko Hotel and Forever Living Products.

The Managing Director of Red Star Express also thanked all the customers for attending the annual event. He assured the customers of constructive partnership with their entire businesses.

Nigeria’s startup ecosystem received a fresh injection of momentum as top emerging ventures secured funding and investor attention at the iHatch National Demo Day, where Interface Africa clinched the highest prize of $15,000.

The 4th cohort of the NITDA–JICA-backed accelerator brought together founders, policymakers, and venture stakeholders in Abuja, showcasing innovations ranging from clean-energy financing and digital food marketplaces to next-gen fintech tools.

The startups went rounds of running through state-level selections and regional competition. iHatch was established in 2021 as a strategic partnership to create an enabling environment for young Nigerians to develop and scale their innovative solutions.

Linia Finance with $10,000, the firm is helping Nigerians take control of their finances with tools for budgeting, tracking, and smart money planning.

Chapta got a laptop reward. They delivering an offline-capable school application ensuring consistent, accessible learning for students everywhere.

Softdrop also got a laptop reward, they solve logistics challenges through a modern delivery platform designed for speed, convenience, and efficiency.
