Wilson Dike, Enterprise Account Director for Africa at RedCloud Technologies, has been named the Global Tech Sales Leader of the Year at the prestigious Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards. This recognition underscores his unmatched contributions to enterprise technology sales and digital transformation across the EMEA region.

The organizer of the Awards, Communications Week Media, announced that Mr. Dike has been honored with the award in recognition of his contributions to advancing the African economy through innovative practices and the application of modern technology.
Mr. Dike, who spearheaded the commercial expansion of RedCloud in Africa, successfully negotiated and finalized a landmark enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) agreement valued at $30 million. This transaction represents the largest in the EMEA region within four months following his arrival.
Additionally, he executed a multi-year digitalization contract with one of the largest beverage manufacturers globally, among other significant accomplishments. His strategic leadership has facilitated a 20% year-over-year growth in enterprise revenue, effective penetration into new markets, and crucial partnerships with esteemed consulting firms.
The selection process for the award was predicated on a thorough evaluation that integrated expert judgment from experienced industry professionals along with concrete evidence of performance.
The criteria encompassed the utilization of innovation and technology to provide measurable business value, foster scalable growth, and exhibit strategic leadership in addressing complex enterprise challenges.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, representing Isa Ali Pantami, minister of Communications and Digital Economy, applauded the winners for their role in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation. “The event’s theme,
‘The Impact of Blockchain Technology in a Digitalized Nigeria,’ reflects the government’s strategic focus. It has led to key policies and frameworks aimed at industry-wide innovation,” he said. He emphasized the role of ICT, now contributing 17.8% to Nigeria’s national GDP, as critical infrastructure for national development.
Ken Nwogbo, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria Communications Week and convener of the BoICT Awards, praised the awardees for putting Nigeria on the global ICT map. “These awards are about recognizing visionaries—those who don’t just drive revenue but shape the future of technology,” he noted.
