Nigeria’s most customer-centric telecoms operator, Etisalat, has presented Hyundai ix35 SUVs to 2 out of the 5 star prize winners of the recently concluded Win Big Promotion, a reward scheme for its mass market customers in partnership with TimWe.

The lucky winners include Mrs. Callister Ihemegbulam, 32 years old mother of two from Imo State and Amos Noel, an indigene of Plateau State.

Speaking about the Promo which ran for 100 days between September 2015 and February 6, 2016, Otuyemi Otule, Etisalat Nigeria’s chief product and information officer, said it was one of the platforms created by the telecoms operator to add value to its customers.

“The promotion was designed to reward the mass market segment of our customer base. We wanted to give our customers a chance to win something for themselves; and so far, it has been a successful campaign” he explained.

Speaking further against the background of skepticism surrounding various promos, Otule noted that “At Etisalat, we have our business values one of which is integrity and people have come to know us for this. We also engage our customers; thus we ask them to visit our Experience Centres to verify the authenticity of any promo which purportedly comes from us. These efforts dispel any atmosphere of distrust.”

In his remarks, Head, Consumers Protection Council (CPC), Lagos, Joshua Nggada expressed satisfaction over the transparency shown by the telecoms operator during the period.

The Etisalat Win Big Promo was a 100 day trivia-based game promo that ended on February 6. The range of rewards included daily cash prizes from 5,000 to 50,000 in addition to a daily win of 150,000 and a monthly win of 500,000. About four million customers played for free while two million played the subscription leg of the game.
