Legend Extra Stout Brings Entertainment To Ipaja In Lagos

It was a night to remember for residents of Ipaja area of Lagos as Legend Extra Stout brought its legendary Real Deal Experience (RDE) to Abesan Estate, Ipaja.
The Real Deal Experience, which is an entertainment initiative organised by Legend Extra Stout has often provided an opportunity for the brand and its loyal consumers to have a rewarding and exciting interaction.
The show featured Nigeria’s biggest entertainers and a host of other exciting side attractions.
Mr. Emmanuel Agu, Portfolio Manager – Mainstream Lager And Stout Brands NB Plc, informs that the show, as the name suggests, is a blend of engaging, thrilling and rewarding catalogue of activities, music, comedy, role play, brand education, eulogy, games, prizes and lots more, aimed at guaranteeing the satisfaction of all attendees.
It was jointly hosted by Ifu Ennada, former BBNaija 2018 housemate and De Don.“In our usual tradition of giving the best of entertainment to Nigerians, we ensure that the Legend Real Deal Experience is organised to suit the local audience.

We achieve this by identifying what our audience can most relate with and then theme our show around this.
In light of this, RDE next edition will feature street pop sensations – Slim Case and Mr Real.”
According to Agu, “Legend Extra Stout, like its sister brands in the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc, appreciates the loyalty it enjoys from its teeming consumers and is always on the lookout on ways to show this appreciation.
“Legend Extra Stout, as a brand, understands the role that outdoor entertainment plays in the lives of its consumers, hence its adoption of the fun-filled entertainment package it put together and tagged, the Legend Real Deal Experience.”
He noted that some of the highlights in the planned event includes the Taste, Tell and Win competition that saw some members of the audience go home with exciting prizes like refrigerators, generators, televisions, face caps, t-shirts, and free drinks, “Besides giving the residents of the city an unforgettable experience with music and entertainment, the Real Deal Experience also provides for the brand a good opportunity to directly interact with its consumers wherever we go.”
Agu said that, over the years, Legend Extra Stout has taken the Real Deal experience to different cities including Lagos, Onitsha, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Aba, and Owerri and has featured some of Nigeria’s biggest entertainers including Timaya, Kcee, Oritsefemi, Small Doctor as well as other regional sensations like the Obiligbo Brothers, Mr Raw and a host of others.

In one of the editions, which held in Onitsha, the Obiligbo Brothers, the reigning stars of Highlife music in the South-East region, took to the stage and rendered melodic tunes and pulsating beats to the enthusiastic crowd who gathered at the Christmas carnival ground, Elekahia road, beside elekahia police post, in Port Harcourt.
The duo, whose real names are Ifeanyi and Chukwuebuka Obiligbo, reeled out songs from their old and new albums to thrill the audience.
Ifediora Azubuike, a Port Harcourt-based veteran music lover, who attended the event, was all praises to the organisers of the event.
He said “This event transported me to the good old days when the big names in highlife music used to do regular weekend shows in this same city.
“Those days we used to look forward to the likes of Osita Osadebe, Ali Chukwuma, Oliver De Coque and many others every weekend.

“I commend Legend Extra Stout for this nostalgic event which memory would last a long time,” he said.
Azubuike is not alone in this belief as everyone who has been privileged to attend any of the Real Deal Experience, making round the major cities of the country, has some good to say about the initiative.
Emeka Nwora, a trader in the Onitsha Main Market, said: “I usually hang out in a good resort and watch local bands render good highlife music every weekend.
“I have really been thrilled this evening. It has been an evening of fun and merriment. It is like going on a date on someone else’s pocket.”

One of the highlights of the Onitsha event was the identification of Chief Godwin Okeke, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of G.U. Okeke and Sons Ltd as a legend in the city.
He was presented with the brand’s torch of greatness as a mark of honour for his tenacity which made for the various successes he has recorded in business.
“Like the Onitsha, Port Harcourt and Aba editions of the Real Deal Experience, the Ipaja edition was equally exciting as Slim Case and Mr Real and other A-list entertainers thrilled the good people of Ipaja,” concluded Agu, the Portfolio Manager – Mainstream Lager & Stout Brands of the NB Plc

NASENI Renewable Energy Industrial Park Underway as Construction Gains Momentum

The on-going construction works at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI’s Renewable Energy Industrial Park, Gora, Nasarawa State is gathering momentum as the project is envisioned to address the country’s energy needs.

NASENI’s Renewable Energy Industrial Park, Gora, Nasarawa State
The project occupying a 40-hectare park designed as a multi-energy hub will help curb capital flight and save foreign exchange expenditure by enabling local production of key renewable energy components such as solar panels, mounting racks, wind systems and biomass technologies.
Speaking during an inspection visit on the project site on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Special Adviser to the Executive Vice Chairman on Renewable Energy, Engr. Suyud Abdullahi Muhammad, who also serves as the Gora Project Manager, disclosed that the initiative is designed to significantly reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported renewable energy equipment.
“There will be a wind assembly plant, small hydro power equipment production, and solar panel manufacturing; Renewable energy goes beyond just solar, and this park reflects that broader vision,” he said.
Abdullahi noted that the project aligns with NASENI’s goal of reducing energy poverty in Nigeria, where over 80 million citizens remain off-grid, while many connected to the national grid continue to experience inadequate power supply.
The Special Adviser also emphasised on the project’s industrialisation potential, highlighting its role in job creation and value chain development. The park is expected to generate 2,000 direct jobs, with an additional 50,000 indirect employment opportunities across supporting industries when completed.
“This initiative will localise the renewable energy value chain. Instead of relying on imports, Nigeria will begin to produce and eventually export these technologies, starting with the West African market and scaling up to the rest of the continent,” he added.
On sustainability and long-term viability, he revealed that the project is being executed in collaboration with private sector players, academia and other stakeholders, in line with NASENI’s “3Cs” principle of Creation, Collaboration and Commercialisation.
The ongoing construction is being handled by about 35 contracting firms, each handling specific components at varying levels of execution such as Multipurpose Halls for industrial productions, Research and Development (R&D) Centre, Knowledge Park, Energy Centre, Workshops, Researchers Lodge, Studio Apartments, Clinic, Restaurant, Wellness Centre, Solar Farm, Drivers Lounge, Gate House, Internal roads and drainage system and Fencing.
The Gora Renewable Energy Industrial Energy Park is considered a key component of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at strengthening local manufacturing, enhancing energy security and positioning Nigeria as a renewable energy hub in Africa.
