This announcement came after a raffle draw game at a private launch event and the SuperSport Prize presentation. All 28 BBNaija Level Up housemates and the CEO of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, were present at Eko Energy City, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

At the event, Ugbe advised the housemates on how to tell their stories and be unique in their dealings. He also said that MultiChoice had given them a platform, but the onus is on them to create their stardom from it.

Furthermore, he advised them to own their niche and not do what everyone does. He also presented the ladies with their SuperSport prizes and announced the raffle draw winners.

Speaking to the housemates, John Ugbe said, “MultiChoice is committed to providing life-changing opportunities for young Nigerians, and we have the platform to always present their unique talent and ideas”.

Phyna and Chizzy weren’t the only winners at the private lunch event. The girls of the BBNaija Level Up season tagged team General Entertainment, who won the SuperSport task in the house, received their prizes today. All six ladies were given a sum of 2 Million Naira to share amongst themselves. The ladies, alongside the other housemates, also received brand new DStv Explora boxes with a one-year DStv Premium subscription plan that comes with a 1-year Showmax Pro subscription.

Hailed as the most significant football event in the world, the 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to take place at Qatar’s Al-Bayt stadium in Doha from November 20 to December 18, 2022.  Phyna and Chizzy will attend some of the games and share moments from their trip with fans via social media.

The 2022 World Cup opening ceremony will also feature performances from Nigerian musicians. Award-winning singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, featured in the Qatar 2022 World Cup official theme song and will perform at the opening ceremony. He sang the theme song titled ‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’ alongside US star Trinidad Cardona and Qatari sensation Aisha. Music star Kizz Daniel will also be performing at this year’s competition.

While speaking on her win to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup competition, in her usual fashion, Phyna said: “I don’t make the rules, grace just calls my name, and I answer, see you all in Qatar”. Chizzy, on the other hand, said: I’m super excited for this, and I’m grateful to MultiChoice for making my journey smooth, this can only be God’s grace.”

DStv will air all 62 matches live for its DStv and GOtv subscribers. As a bonus, MultiChoice will offer commentaries in Nigerian languages from Pidgin English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa.

SuperSport remains the home for the best sporting action across the globe. The live coverage is open to DStv customers on Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Confam and Yanga customers and for GOtv customers on Supa, Max, Jolli and Jinja packages.

With this private launch and trip to Qatar, MultiChoice is confirming its commitment to not only creating new stars but also supporting them. For more information about the World Cup and the Qatar trip, visit www.Dstv.com or follow DStv Nigeria on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc has secured regulatory approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to lease frequency spectrum from T2 Mobile Limited (formerly 9Mobile), marking a strategic shift in its network expansion plans.

Effective October 1, 2025, MTN will lease 5MHz in the 900MHz band and 15MHz in the 1800MHz band from T2 Mobile for a period of three years.

This move supports MTN’s national roaming agreement with T2, enabling shared infrastructure to manage growing network traffic and improve service delivery

According to MTN Nigeria CEO Karl Toriola, the agreement aligns with the company’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which emphasizes cost-effective, sustainable growth, industry collaboration, and digital inclusion.

In a related development, MTN Nigeria has announced it will not renew its current spectrum lease with Natcom Development and Investment Ltd (Ntel). That lease—covering 5MHz in the 900MHz band and 10MHz in the 1800MHz band across 17 states—is set to expire on November 29, 2025.

MTN reaffirmed its commitment to investing in infrastructure and strategic partnerships to deliver high-quality, innovative telecom services across Nigeria.

Konga, Nigeria’s leading composite e-commerce group, has continued to record remarkable feedback from shoppers as its ongoing Category Month Campaign builds momentum. Since its kick-off in early September, the initiative has spotlighted key product categories each week, delivering unbeatable deals and heightened excitement across Nigeria’s digital retail space.

The campaign debuted with Home and Kitchen products in the first week of launch, offering households the chance to upgrade essentials at discounted prices.

This was followed by Electronics Week, which drew an overwhelming response from tech-savvy shoppers eager to secure top-quality gadgets at market-leading prices.

This week, attention has shifted to Beauty, Health and Personal Care, as well as Fashion, promising even more compelling offers for style enthusiasts and wellness-focused consumers.

According to industry observers, shoppers have embraced the campaign for clear reasons: convenience, affordability, and trust. By focusing on one category per week, Konga ensures a curated shopping experience where customers enjoy depth, variety, and verified quality across product lines. Strategic partnerships with global brands further guarantee authenticity, while Konga’s reliable logistics network continues to deliver purchases swiftly and securely.

In addition, Konga’s Category Month is strategically driving value for both buyers and sellers. For shoppers, it translates into savings and access to exclusive bundles. For merchants, it unlocks visibility to wider audiences and boosts sales volumes in a competitive marketplace.

Beyond the campaign, Konga has also reinforced its reputation as a socially responsible brand through the Computerise Nigeria Initiative, launched recently in partnership with Zinox and KongaCares.

The initiative aims to put one million laptops into the hands of young Nigerian students, bridging the digital divide and equipping the next generation for a knowledge-driven economy.

Konga is calling on well-meaning Nigerians, NGOs, religious institutions, and corporate bodies to support this noble effort, which has the potential to transform education and empower millions of youths across the country.

With Category Month and social impact initiatives like Computerise Nigeria, Konga is not only redefining retail in Nigeria but also cementing its role as a catalyst for digital inclusion and economic growth.
