PetVini Bags ICT Innovator of The Year Award @ BoICT 2014

PetVini Global Concept, for the second year, has emerged the Information and Communication Technology Innovator of the Year award winner at the Beacon of ICT awards organized by Communication Week Media, publishers of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek newspaper.

PetVini Global Concept is an indigenous company with a team of IT/ICT experts who are creating a new path for home grown technology in Africa.

Although, it operates from Lagos Nigeria, the Company has just been licensed to operate in the United States.

“Yes, PetVini has distinguished itself a mid-level IT/ICT company; in spite the environmental challenges, it has showcased crystals of excellence. This award is a testimony to the Company’s talents, innovations, contributions and commitment to the growth of the ICT industry.

He said that management and staff of Communication Week Media are happy that Nigerians have recognized PetVini’s hard work, sincerity and dedication towards the development of the sector.     

Speaking on the award, Mr. Peter Asolo, managing director and chief executive officer of the Company said, “As a person I believe in solving challenges with consideration for home grown solution. I do believe we can start gradually to enable home grown technology by giving to change and without hype make the desired impact. Though it is tough in Nigeria to get endorsed or approved for any substantial technology innovation, but I think there is a gradual departure from that school of thought that its only white skin that determine expertise.

“I believe we can enable job creation, economic enhancement and empowerment for our people if government supports the genuine practitioners. One warning I will give is that, unless government takes ICT serious we may be facing another era of skills drain as most experts are busy relocating. We are just enabling our God-given gifts of innovation and we thank God it is yielding result even outside the country.
