TD Restructures to Meet, Exceed Customers’ Satisfaction
Technology Distributions (TD), the number one ICT distributor in West Africa, has been split into two coordinated but independent companies in alignment with the vision of the founding fathers to drive ICT revolution in Africa.
The resultant companies are: Technology Distributions Sales and Marketing; and Technology Distributions Logistics, according to Prof. Anya O. Anya, chairman, Technology Distributions Limited.
The restructuring is premised on meeting and exceeding customers’ satisfaction.
Technology Distributions-Sales and Marketing according to Prof. Anya would develop themes and schemes to interface with the marketing department of the Original Equipment Manufacturers, the (OEMs) with a view to satisfying the immediate and long term needs of stake holders in the ICT market in Africa.
The company would also nurture and maintain a professionally coordinated distribution network as a platform to display, demonstrate and sell the products and services of the partnering OEMs.
Use its revenue generation capacities to develop the SMEs and move the market to participate in the realization of societal goals like the MDG or 20 2020.
TD Sales and Marketing would serve as a one stop shop where corporate persons, governments, educationists’ etc can source their ICT needs faster, in large numbers and with competitive pricing.
Explaining further, Prof. Anya said that Technology Distribution-Logistics would interface with the manufacturing arm of the OEMs, determine technology trends, update inventory and ensure availability and prompt delivery of products and services.
TD-Logistics, with branches in the UK and the Netherlands, would provide warehousing functions for the partner OEMs and for big corporate persons.
It would also grow the competencies of the SMEs in line with international standards of warehousing, haulage and inventory management.
Prof. Anya said that the restructuring strategy includes the opening of more Technology Distributions branches within and outside Nigeria getting closer to resellers.
“ A Technology Distributions in every resellers neighborhood would make responses faster, drive down the reseller’s costs, and evoke confidence in the mind of the end users.” He stated
He announced that Mrs. Chioma Chimere, broadcaster, pioneer marketing staff of TD with vast experience in OEM operations and reseller management has been appointed managing director, TD-Sales and Marketing while Mrs. Shade Oyebode, Chartered Accountant who joined TD at its inception with an MBA, has been appointed managing director, TD-Logistics.
Both managing directors have attended many professional courses in Nigeria and abroad.
In the past two years Technology Distributions has substantially increased the number of OEMs whose products are offered on her stable.
Beginning with HP, Microsoft, APC by Schneider, and EPSON, TD now offers products from Dell, Zinox, Toshiba, IBM, Lenovo, Cisco, iDirect, Canon, Huawei, and eBeam.
